It’s time to celebrate! We invite you to take advantage of our workshop as part of the Arduino & Raspberry Pi Day 2019, organised in collaboration with blogger Home Engineer. The workshop will focus on prototyping, experimenting, giving participants a hands-on taste of the topic, providing some valuable sources of knowledge, and, last but not least, having good fun.
We will start with a brief introduction on the basics of programming Arduino boards. Next, of course, we will blink some LEDs (an absolute MUST if you want to kick off in a respectable manner;)), add some buttons, and tinker with the sensors.
Once all this gear has been tamed, we will combine the components to build simple devices. They will operate by receiving signals (from you – their Creator and Master!) and reacting in a previously programmed manner (or a completely random one, if the device proves to have a mind of its own! No worries, though, we will also be able to deal with such unruly behaviour).
Participants will need their own USB enabled computers Everything else, e.g. Arduino boards, sensors, LEDs, will be provided by Medialab Katowice.
The workshop is targeted primarily at beginner level users, although savvies are also welcome to join us for a few Saturday hours; they will certainly find space for their own experiments within the main theme of the workshop.
